I'm looking to buy a pair of Kuryakyn Ellipse mirrors and notice there are 2 adapters available - one for Honda, Suzi, Kawa.., one for Yamaha. I see posts that talk about other Yamaha mirrors fitting our bikes. Do I assume I would need the Yamaha adapter ? Has anyone fitted a pair of these mirrors ? I looked though the picture posts but couldn't see any. Thanks for your help.

I am pretty sure that those are the mirrors that I have. There were no mods needed, they have all the parts needed if you get the Honda Magna ones. However, with that said, they provide a great view of my elbows in the mirrors, not good for much else. They also vibrate really bad and are even more worthless above 4k rpm. I am probably going to get some of the VMax ones, they look cool and don't vibrate and maybe I will actually be able to see behind me again. They look cool, but they suck functionwise.
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.

I don't know about the VMAX Mirrors but I wouldn't buy the Kuryakyan mirrors again. They do make special adapters for the America/Speedmaster for $19 for two little peices of alumnium tubing. And they do vibrate becuase they really don't fit that well. Gives you the experience of riding a Harley.
My understanding, and I may be wrong(as my wife often reminds me) the VMax mirrors fit onto the end of the stock Triumph mirror stalks. The Triumph mirror stalks have little perforated spacers shaped to fit the cavity in the handle bars to prevent vibration better. My stocks ones never vibrated but I wanted square mirrors.
