I can hear my front pads rubbing very lightly on the disc when I push my bike - taking in or out of the garage for example. Do I need to adjust or is this normal ?

It's normal and there is no adjustment. The seals that hold the pistons in the caliper flex about 1/37th of a pubimeter when the hydraulic pressure is removed. That's enough to withdraw the pads from the rotor but they still contact it slightly.

More flags More fun!

No. Its how disc brakes work. They remain in contact (however lightly) with the rotor.
