It looks more along the lines of a BMW R 1150R. Which is a bike I have always thought looked good.

Thats what it looks like to me. But remember that post a week or so ago where someone said they had an inside sorce that said a inline triple 1500 would be unveiled in november? This looks like what he was talking about except he said radiator under the seat and belt drive. As to it being a cruiser, this one has mid pegs but the set looks low like a cruiser. Tho maybe that just cuz the tank is high. Whatever it is, if it materializes i may be interested. It looks like a updated T bird to me, and i always liked those. This says 1600 tho, not 1500 as the "source" said. It would likely scoot big time. No need for pipes or mods for me !
Soren......it's from some french site Dave at triumphtalk posted it from. i uploaded it to my rat gallery because the site it's from has small bandwidth and it stopped working after a few views.

okay, so beat me with stick but I think it looks pretty sweet, well other than the triple cans. Always thought that was dumb lookin'. Takes me back to the days when I threw a Kerker on everything I owned, hehe.

I never liked pipes on one side only, and those passenger pegs are hideous. But other than that i think it looks great. and a 1600 triple could be mildly tuned and still wail. The ST is only a 1000 after all. Yeah, i'd be interested. But then it's just likely someone's drawing so it's probably all moot anyways.

I think that is one good looking bike. Except for the pipes. A 3 into 2 with a pipe on each side would be my preference.

Yummm, I like but would prefer the old timey chain and sprocket drive, but yep...if the "next-gen" Thunderbird were to come out, It might very likely find itself as a stable mate to the chopped Bonnie and the '96 Trophy...

Looks like Benny and I were right about the looks. I figured if it did look like an updated classic triple as i believe, then the CT owners would like it almost to a man. So i posted this in the RAT CT forum and sure enough they seem to be eating it up. Split the pipes up on both side and gimmie a chain or belt and i think i can pretty much say just from that pic i'd buy one. Only fear would be 1st gen bugs.

Give me a Shaft drive over a Chain drive any day. IMHO chain drives should have been ditched years ago with the drums brakes. Cant see why every bike isnt a shaft drive. Makes sense to me.

Well...of course, YOU'D feel like that about this bike, PHIL!!!
It reminds ME of an updated HURRICANE(Triumph X75 of mid-'70s vintage).
And after all those HURRICANES that have come YOUR WAY down there in tropical Florida the last few years, I CERTAINING can understand why YOU would have bad feelings about ANYTHING that would conjure up that word......HURRICANE(even subconsciously) in YOUR mind!
But, I LIKE IT!!! And, would LOVE IT if it wasn't water-cooled, which this concept picture appears to imply.

I was never a fan of all the pipes on one side. For me its unbalanced to the eye.
Classic case of either you love it or hate it.

Never liked those pipes, either. Is that a turn signal sticking out of the radiator? If so, its definitely some kind of fantasy. Those mid-mounted pegs and low seat would have your knees around your elbows.

The seat is only low because the tank is high, relatively speaking. I think it is similar to a T bird in that respect, which is a bit cramped but not redonkulously so.

Put some forward controls on it, rocket style bars and pipes, slightly different seat and pillion and you have the new 1500cc cruiser.
'06 TBA - Black, AI and Snorkel removed, K&N Drop In, Gutted Stock Pipes, 145/42, 2 turns out.

Not necessarily a fantasy. my Speed triple has the signal lights sticking out of the side covers I have over the radiator. Kinda looks just like the way those do.
