Has anyone had electric problems with their Triumph. I collect Triumph and MG cars and swear that Hinkley is using LUCAS parts. I have a 05 Speedy and so far have had (under warrenty) an Alternator, Battery, Voltage Regulator and 1 coil. Installed at 4 different times. Now the bike is back in the shop, that it's missing on #1 cyl. Am I alone? Triumph has and is working with me to fix this but I don't trust the bike anymore. I have 5000 miles and 5 weeks in the shop. It's been a short riding season.

Welcome to the site Anthony. Many have had electrical issues but you seem to have had a bunch.

No problems in 13,500 miles, but you're making me nervous.

You may be entitled to a new vehicle or your money back under the New York Lemon Law.

And don't be bashful about it if you are eligible. I'm riding an 04 BA that Triumph had to give me for the 03 that spent 4 months of the first 11 that I owned it in the shop. Take good notes.

Oh, by the way, welcome to the neighborhood.

In over 30,800 miles the only electrical problem I've had was rear brake switch failure a few years ago and it was replaced under warranty. I've been pressure-washing my bike for 4.5 years without a single problem.

zero, unless you count the self-induced ones!

Sounds like the bike you have is a rare lemon. What your dealer should do is just give you another bike.

Hey I live on the island too, whereabouts are you? Which dealer? I've heard some.... interesting stories about service from Gold Coast. I haven't had any problems I didn't cause. If you want me to take a look at something, let me know but chances are you have more experience than me But if you want to get together and share war stories it would be cool.

2 batteries, 2 alarms (notice a connection?), both lightbar bulbs - twice, a few indicator bulbs, several fuses (see lightbar).
Lightbar removed today 'cause I'm p!ssed off with it never working (and blowing fuses) and it would've failed the MOT because of it (which was today by the way and it passed .. wa hoo!!)

Cough cough BS! Don't let the dealer yank you.
