For someone who has never re-wired turn signals before...how difficult a task would it be to re-wire the turn signals after relocating them (thinking of the Rivco brackets) down below the headlight ? Could anyone point me to some instructions as I know this has been done many, many times. Hope you can help.

Welp, a couple options exist.
1. Cut the wires before the plug and extend them. Re rap them to the existing ones.
2. Run your wires through the bars for the ultimate sleek look. This is a bit involved though as you have to extend all the wires and drill the bars and fish and drink alot of beer, but the payoff is sweet. here is a link on how to do it. http://members.optusnet.com.au/~matt_l/bar-wiring.htm

Enjoy. Heres a pic of my relocations.

Notice the wires coming out of the bars wraped in S.S. hose from a water heater line. Hint Hint.

Hey that heater hose looks familiar!!

I relocated my signals the same time I did my internal bar wiring. Makes it real simple. I cut the sheething and pulled the signal wires away and boom, done.

For a cheap and easy way...I slit the plastic that's holding all the cables about 7 or 8 inches....then wrapped it with rubber electrical tape (wasnt' really necessary).
Then I got some of the ribbed looking wire wrap from a auto store.. it just covers stuff up a bit...the car guys use it, comes in 3 or 4 sizes....
Still dont' like the bars I put on, so not going to reroute every thru them until I find the "perfect" handlebars...

Black heat shrink is good too. thats what i used to cover the splice.

Heat shrink is the way to go if you are cutting any of the wires. Thing is, in theory you don't need to, you just need to take the signal wires out of the loom, so that means you would have to slide a very large piece of shrink down over the entire thing and it would be hard to get it to shrink enough. But yeah, heat shrink is a must for any cutting/splicing/soldering.

Heat shrink is OK if you cut the wires. When I moved mine off the bars and down where they belong, the signal wires were bundled with about a dozen other wires. I had to cut the plastic sleeve that wrapped all those wires. I used that same slitted plastic that Krashdragon is talking about. Used heat shrink to cover the soldered splice at the signals. I put rears in the front.

So there's enough length of wire to move them down...it's just a question of whether you want to swap them out for other signals or run the wires through the bars but in theory you don't have to cut, add extra length of wire etc. ???

Unless they hace changed the wiring....

All the wires from the controls run down to the headlight. Then the signal wires run BACK UP to the bars, so you just need to peel those wires (black/yellow and green/yellow I think.... whatever is attached to the connectors) to wherever you want the signals.

On mine, one of the wires on each light was attached about halfway down that bunch of wires to another wire. That left enough slack to connect to the new location. When I cut the second sleeve, I cut down to that point only, leaving the bottom half of that sleeve. Taped it up real good to that auto parts plastic wire wrap going up to bars.
I made a pair of brackets consisting of 2 pieces of 1/8" aluminum flat stock with 3 holes. Bolted thru headlight bracket in end hole, rear signals in middle hole, a bolt with a spacer to make it rigid through front holes. I'll post some pics when I get home.
