Now not being married I wouldn't really know anything about this. This just seemed funny to me.

$10,000
06' Suzuki GSXR 1000
Farmington, UT 84025 - Aug 7, 2006

2006 Suzuki 1000. This bike is perfect! It has 1000 miles and has had its 500 mile dealer service. (Expensive) It's been adult ridden, all wheels have always been on the ground. I use it as a cruiser/commuter. I'm selling it because it was purchased without proper consent of a Loving wife. Apparently "Do whatever the hell you want" doesn't mean what I thought. I'll wager he has not been married very long. These things will happen to a rookie.

Apparently he’s never heard the adage “It’s easier to get forgiveness than it is to get permission.” He even had permission and is backing down. If he gives in on this there will be no stopping her. My wife squawked when I bought the BA. But then of course she’s squawked every time I’ve bought anything over $100. Take the heat (or cold) and it’ll blow over. Be a man! Sheesh

I suspect he might be getting rid of the wrong thing.

He also bought the wrong bike lol. Never been off the ground??? Yeah, he bought the wrong bike. Everybody buys a GSXR as a basic transport.

And the forgiveness of a woman can be a delicious thing if it's asked for correctly !

Get her her own bike...then she'll understand!! Ya gotta give a little to get a little, after all!

I once got that "me or that motorcicle" speech once. Don't miss her a bit.

It does get a tad lonely sometimes. Especially in the Winter when I can't ride...

I was married for 3 1/2 years, during which time I constantly whined "I really want another bike" and my wife retorted with expressions like "You can have the bike or you can have me!". I now have the bike and no wife and feel like I got the better end of the deal. Apart from anything else, the bike is a more fun to ride, loves chrome, and doesn't complain if I ride another bike!

I've been married for over 31 years. A few rough spots, but she's finally realized I can't be completely domesticated. A few years ago she thought she had it done but after the blow up I think she quit trying. Now we’re back together and she’s accepted that there are some things she just has to live with. The Blue Streak is one of those things.

Keith,
Sad Ad!!!
We got married in November. The next February, I informed my new bride that I wanted a new motorcicle since we were sick of the '62 panhead and its constant repairs. We looked around at a few models and I told her I wanted a Triumph, but would love to have the Yamaha 650. A couple days passed and I gave her a pretty nice Valentine's Day gift (emerald ring), and she said before she gave me my gift, she wanted to go look at bikes again. When we arrived at the Yamaha dealer, I saw a shiney TX650A sitting in front of the show room door with a heart shaped sign on it, "Dennis, I Love You!". We put 37,000 miles on that bike in less than 2 years.
Sweet Bride Of Mine!

Ride Safe, Dennis Triumph, it's how I live and what I ride.

My bike came with a week of silence....

Later that particular accessory cost me 1 floor of new carpeting and 2 remodelled bathrooms.

And yes, it was worth it.

What's funny is I used to live in that general area of Utah and a few years ago I saw a nearly new car for sale in the classifieds that I was interested in. When I contacted the owner and asked why he was selling it so soon after buying it, the reason was almost the same. Wonder if it's the same guy? LOL.

Some people don't learn....

Oldmike - what you talking about? How many bikes are in that garage?

As for me, I got a good one. Two bikes in the garage and she picked out the boat.
