I can't stand riding in a jacket. Anyonelse? Give me a good 'ole thick semi baggy hooded sweatshirt any day of the week. One that says Triumph on the back would be awesome. Now I must go looking.

Reido, Here in New England its seems to get cold for several months of the year. We even get this white powder that falls from the sky A sweatshirt may work ok in the south west, but up here in the north country give me a Lectrik Vest, an leather jacket. Dont get me wrong I will ride with just a Tee shirt and jeans when the temps get into the 80s, but this time of year I start adding layers. Mark

I remember that! Was born and raised in Wilmington Delaware. Brrrrrrr leave on the bike in daytime in October and drive home at night hugging the tank and shivering cause you forgot the leather.
In the winter long johns, sweatshirt and leather would reduce the disconfort to only cold. Glad I moved 10 years ago.
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

Here you go . I got one a year or so ago. Large, the sleeves are a might short, of course I have 37" sleeve. Under a leather jacket, it works well for the frosty mornings.

A lot of the guys I ride with wear leather vests, and I don't like wearing one. To me they're uncomfortable and unbearably hot on a 90+ degree day....and we get a lot of days like that here. They give me grief for it, but I'm not going to bend over for them, so I just wear my usual t-shirt. I guess I wouldn't make it in a real motorcycle club.

As much as I hate jackets, I hate the thought of going down without my jacket on. That's not to say that I don't take a spin with a t-shirt, jeans and boots with no helmet, but I don't do it often. This time of year, the underarmour, sweat shirt and nylon jacket with armor is on along with the full face helmet. But that's me, YMMV.
Women and cats will do as they please. Men and dogs should just get used to that fact and relax

Ride in Scotland without a jacket and you'll get wet.....
Ride in Scotland with a jacket and you'll get wet.....
Without and you can bet it's going to rain halfway into your ride.
With and you can bet the dark clouds will fade away and the sun will start splitting the rocks and you'll end up losing 7lbs in sweat on your ride.
hmmm funny line to follow

Frogg Toggs are my drug of choice for the rain. http://www.froggtoggs.com/proaction.htmLightweight, you don't die sweating in them, durable, etc. Just don't go washing them or you'll get soaked! ask me how I know that

Just wondering how this is off topic? Maybe it should be in Equipment but 'tis still relevant to motorcycling, right?

Not very often, I ride in a T-shirt, but when I do it must be warm, the other 364 days of the year its a t-shirt, neck wrap leather jacket (or full waterproof coat) and gloves. Would not mind some of them electric clothes either
