I stopped in at Indy Triumph today to get myself a shirt. When I travel I usually look up a Triumph dealer and hope that I have time to stop in. Unfortunately not all the dealers have their own shirts (mine doesn't, but I am working on that one). So, I am wondering... Who has what dealer shirts. I know that I don't have to say dealers that you have actually gone to because we are not posuer HD owners.

I have shirts from:
Indy Triumph
Lynwood Cycle Barn (Seattle)
Big Twin Cycles (Boise)
The Motorcycle Shop (Anchorage)

Soren,

SoBay Triumph(Lomita, CA)

and...(now DON'T shoot me people)....

Grand Canyon Harley-Davidson...an overpriced(ask the wife) but good quality T-shirt that I bought at one of those H-D "boutiques"(no bikes) on Whiskey Row in Prescott AZ....it's pretty cool...on the back is a '37 Knucklehead.

Cheers,
Dwight

Only one I have is the first one I got from Arizona Superbike they gave me for buying my Speedmaster. All it has is a little logo on the end of the short sleeve. Tried to get one in Las Vegas a couple of years ago, but they didn't have any dealer branded Triumph shirts.

edit: Oops, almost forgot about the one I got from PJ's Triumph in Albuquerque.

Dwight, I will have to admit I did but a tshirt from the Anchorage HD dealer when I was there. Very very nice shirt, but waaayy over priced. Gave it to the x-mother-in-law. She's a die hard harley biker.

RPM Cycle in Dallas, short sleeved white and long sleeved black dealer Ts (the long sleeved black is a real neat shirt). Most knowledgeable Triumph shop for both old and new in the country.

Cycle Sport in Alexandria, VA, 2 Triumph polos (one green and one blue, no dealer name) before they took down the Triumph sign and went to strictly Yamaha (does that count?).

Martin Motorsport in Pottstown, PA, gave me a brown dealer T (and a helmet) when I bought the 03 TBA. Not many will do that anymore.

Mike Tingley’s in Missoula, Montana, short sleeved melton green T but he doesn’t do the shop name on clothing.

Performance Cycle in Bethany, OK (Oklahoma City), got a gray dealer T from them when they were just a small shop. They’ve moved west on 39th to a much larger building. Got the white with long black sleeves from the new location (XL that shrank badly and no dealer name).

Thanks for the offer, but I really don't want to get dealer shirts from places I haven't been or events I haven't attended.

You mean you don't want to be like the RUB Harley owner who has their buddy bring them back a t-shirt from Sturgis or Bike Week in Daytona?

I feel the same way you do...if I wasn't there, I don't want the t-shirt.

I didn't include this one since they're no longer a dealer, but my favorite Triumph t-shirt is the one you can buy at Aerostich. It's an old dealer shirt from the late 60s, Red line Motorcycles in Santa Barbara.

Actually, im my last house i did decorate the living room red and white. But in the house were in now my wife said NO!!!!! but thats OK because in this house i have my own den so now i have the Red stuff all over the place. and a cureo (sp) full of scale models of F1 cars and Jaguars. needless to say, my wife doesnt sit in my room very often.

But back to the black Triumph shirt it finished up a very whiteish black shirt. Next time im down at the Triumph store in Chattanooga i will see if they have any more. Shame i destroyed the first one as it was FREE.

Well I got my first the other day in the post from Wojo (John) from Triumph Detroit. Thanks John

We do not seem to do this in the UK, maybe they would sell more T-shirts if they did

Any one want to do a swap with one from Adelaide , South Australia.
They have the normal Triumph logo on the front and the dealer name on the rear.

No dealers in the UK have there own T shirts, I think it is a good idea and also a good way of advertising for Triumph and the dealership.

I thought that was a Triumph thing all over. I thought the shirts came from the co if you were a dealer. Interesting.

Maybe wear one from a US dealer into your local shop and that will change!!

Baxter Cycle has dealer shirts that have the old Triumph script on the front and "Triumph, Norton and BSA" on the back along with the "Baxter Cycle, Marne, Iowa" and their phone number. I bought one in royal blue yesterday for $10 when I picked up a replacement speedo cable.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. The dealer makes their own shirts. They then submit a bill for partial reimbursement from Triumph. It's your standard agreement with any large corporation and dealership.
