Could potetially do this. Depends on how much beer I drink at my homebrew club's Oktoberfest on the 30th. Figure I gotta' stay for clean up and after party partying. I have a feeling my brain is gonna' hurt on the 1st. We'll see how things pan out with times and route, etc.
Ride On!

The park opens at 1:00 eastern time and the wolf/bison demonstration is scheduled for 2:00. It's a good idea to be there at opening time(noon for us FIB'S). I'm looking at a non-interstate route. There are no real scenic roads, but a 2 lane can be more relaxing. If anyone rather take a bit more time getting there, say so. Keep your fingers crossed for nice weather.

I might be able to meet you guys for lunch at Wolf Park. Lafayette, IN is only 68 miles north of my house. You guys missed a good time in NY, hope you can make it next year. I'll watch this post to see when you will arrive in Lafayette. Steve

Hey Mike, do you still need fork covers? I can bring them with me on Sunday morning if you do.

Tom,
Sure, bring it on over. I never did fix it:just slid the tool pouch up to cover the doink.
I'm thinking about leaving my place around 8:30 and then head east to meet Roundy for breakfast.
Sebastian will be here about 8:00, I'll have some Harley Biker Brew coffee ready.
Mike

I'm not sure about the route picked out yet, but how about the Round-the-clock in schererville again? Does anybody mind if a Harley or a honda show up?

If we leave my place at 8:30 we will be at Round the Clock at 9:15. Meet us there Roundy? Anyone else wanting to meet there, it's on the south side of US-30, about a block west of 41. Timing looks good for a noonish arrival at the park. Weather looking better all the time!

The weather is looking fantastic for Sunday in Northwest Indiana! A Kaw and a Harley or two will be joining us as well as a friend on my TBS. If I can wake Jr early enough, he will grace us with his presence on the Speed 3. I'm looking forward to a day with the animals (not to mention the wolves & bison ). Mike Sr.

Well, the weather cooperated. Breakfast was good. Had 4 speedmasters/americas, one thunderbird sport, a kaw vulcan, and a harley springer ultra soft glide. Wish we had more time- would have liked to have taken more back roads - and taken "the tour", but oh well. Sorry I had to fly. Saw some interesting mods - Tom's bike looks cool. And we didn't rag the one harley guy too bad. Loaded a couple of pics in my album - I don't think I have ever saw bison before (they're not buffalo).
BTW, Went 148 miles without hitting reserve. At the gas station I had to check to make sure I didn't leave it on reserve from earlier.

You missed the highlight of the trip! While you were heading north on 65, we did the McDonalds and gassed up at the 66 station. An Oscar Mayer wiener wagon was gassing up as we were. We got whistles and Nancy(on the Kaw) took a picture of us next to the processed meat icon. I'll get a copy and send you one. (Note to self:look for the Spam Mobile) If the weather continues to be pleasant, would you want to try the Fair Oaks Farm tour next week? My wife might want to go on that ride(not too long).

Thanks Stewart, I too feel like a more intelligent person now that I know they are bison and not buffalo. I can't believe how ignorant I used to be.
Mike, I am glad you guys decided to ride the backroads with Cbass and myself, I really appreciated it. I don't think I will be able to make the diary farm trip next week. I would definitely like to go some time.

I think that bison lady would prefer they change the name of Buffalo, New York to Bison, New York. Bet she protests at Buffalo Wild Wings. Thanks again for the bag-o-parts Tom. Mike Sr.

I'd like to ride there, Jen would drive the car down with the kids. I'd also like to ride out by starved rock....
But there are too many things to do - winterize 2 boats, repairs on the cars, the house is for sale and I have a couple to look go at.
Maybe if the weather turns out to be like last weekend I'll say screw it all...

The weather looks great for Sunday. Paul(HD), Jim(Kaw) and I are in for sure. My wife and Pauls wife will probably cage it if they go. They can bring the cooler for the award winning cheese and butter pecan ice cream . The plan is to eat breakfast at home. We will lunch at the farm. Meet at Jim's place(I'll pm directions) about 9:00AM? Let me know if you decide to go. Check the site: fofarms.com Mike Sr.
