Had a bit of free time this weekend. Sons fall baseball game canceled do to rain. So what to do. Well my boss lady and myself kicked it around a bit and thought of heading off to delmarva bike fest thingy in Ocean City, md. Been before and had a good time. Only would have had one afternoon to spend there but what the heck. Anyway we load up our gear, lock up the house and off we head. Something keeps nagging at me. Dam do I really want to go join the sea of harley's again. Riding on up, I get into virgina and for some reason I just hook a left and start riding. We rode until the sun was beging to set just over the Blue Ridge mountains. Only made it into the foot hills but none the less a beautiful ride. Found a cheap hotel room and kicked back for the night. Got up this morning. Watched the Sunrise. Had our complimentary breakfast buffet and headed back out of the foothills. All and all a wonderful realaxing ride. I saw a bunch of harley's along the way too. Some of them must of had the same idea as me.

I thought for sure, there was gonna be a Bugs Bunny reference here. Well, there is now. Sounds like a nice weekend ride with the "boss lady".

Now that is my kinda ride... just keep making turns and see what turns up. I harly ever plan a ride... I just try and go places I've never been before. Find some really interesting sights that way.

One of the joys I've re-discoverd on the bike is that the journey's the thing. You can't get lost if you have no destination.
