More decibels?

Rejett and it will come alive, you have to get more fuel when you ad more airflow.

The Bubs are nice high performance pipes, designed special for these bikes and you will get increased hp by just bolting them on. If you rejet, to about 130 mains and remove the snorkle you'll be grinning from ear to ear.

A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice. Pat

"More decibels?"

Gooseman, most certainly. I have the setup Pat mentions (he was the one that told me what to tell the dealer), and it GOES!!! And yes, most definitely the decibel level is, shall we say, significantly increased! I liken it to an offshore powerboat. You might even be safe going to 135 mains from what I've seen. I've thought about this, but am fine with the way things are now, so haven't felt the need.

By doing just this one piece though, wouldn't I be un-constipating the factory setup ?

Yes, Constipation will go away and you'll be the first on this site to burn a hole in a piston (maybe). It is incredible how lean these bikes are set up on delivery.
My right mix screw was bottomed out and my left one was 2 turns out. I am about to write a new post on what I just did today after talking to "bigjack" who raced motorcycles for years. He gave me some advice and my bike runs like a dream now. I have not bought expensive pipes and have spent precious few dollars on performance mods. I drilled a 3/4" hole in all the baffles of my long SM pipes I got on ebay for 99 cents. Jack just said I needed to have left a couple alone for some back pressure. I put my old short TORs back on with no ather adjustments. It ran a lot better. The sound is crisper. Not the low rumble I love. But the idle is smoother and still pulls like a freight train.

This is one setup that is not mentioned in the performance area. Although I am not so sure this is much more extreme than drilling holes in the baffles. I see/hear all these young kids with their Japanese cars that have been re-mufflered. I am not sure if fuel injection on these cars adjusts itself though ...

Now I lost the bubs, the dealer isn't selling them anymore. I ended up knocking out the last baffle plate ... A bit better, for now ...

I did nothing but I did have to turn the pilot (mixture) screws out to three turns. Runs great but have not had it over 4000 or 4500 rpms. I am breaking her in still.

I went for a ride today, if I had to compare my bikes sound with something I would say it sounds like a new stock Corvette ... One baffle plate out ...
