I would like to know which is more comfortable? Has anyone ridden any distance on these seats?

I like the feel of the Corbin and the backrest, a few on here do not ride with the back rest on, but I feel it makes you part of the bike.(as one) I have had the corbin only a matter of months and not really done many miles, so it feels really hard on my bony @ss, but I do like the position of it, it seems lower and some how more comfy - just waiting for it to wear to my backside... I have never tried a low profile, but would say that the corbin seems a lot lower than the std seat...

I ordered myself a Corbin recently going on two factors:
1. I had a Corbin on my 01 Bonneville, and really liked it.
The more I rode, the more it broke in - the more it broke in, the more I liked it
2. I was concerned the BCC low seat would alter my seating postion too drastically.
But, to answer your question- no,I have never sat on the low profile.

I've got a stock America seat on my SM and one of our low rider seats on the Custom America. I think the lower narrower seat, while not nearly as thickly padded, rides much better. Being low in the saddle does change the riding position accordingly, but we feel much more connected with the bike. Sitting down into it, not so much sitting on top of it.

I’ve had a Corbin on my scooter for a while now. It took about 1,500 miles before it broke in and started to feel really good. Last July I did a ride from Maryland to Tampa Florida only stopping for gas and a bite to eat. Couldn’t have done that without the Corbin.

I have to agree with Boogieman. A low profile seat rides much better. However... It's personal taste and preference. I like the look, feel and riding position of a trim, low, custom seat. On the other hand... If I'm taking a trip like Fred... I'm slapping the Corbin with a backrest on the bike. Bike seats are like shoes, it's hard for one pair of shoes to fit all occasions.
Boogieman, I like your custom America. I wish you would post some more pictures to get a better look at the seat.

The Corbin with a back rest seems to be the perfect combination for me. The back rest also offers good support to make the forward position of the footboards more comfortable.

I can only speak for the Corbin. The Corbin does feel "hard" when first sitting on it, but the firmness provides a lot of comfort. I know some have put more miles than I on trips, but I did take a 4800-5000 mile trip last summer with the Corbin. I rode 500 miles a day easy, and my long day was about 750. My backside was tired at the end of the day, but unlike the stock seat I was ready to sit in the saddle the next morning. I could barely ride with the stock seat a 150 miles a day without the burn lasting for several days.

Yeah, what he said...
I have put Corbins on every bike I have had as far back as I can remember them being in business. I will continue if I get another bike as well.

I really like my BCC Low Profile seat. It is extremely comfortable, looks great and in my opinion allows me to have a better feel for the road. Keep in mind however that most of my riding is in town or on 50 mile rides through the countryside. If I were going to have any 400-500 mile days as mentioned earlier I would pony up for the corbin. If you ask me comparing these seats is like comparing a corvette to a Chevy Tahoe. They are both great, but they are intended for entirely different purposes.

Learning from my mistakes... again and again.

Thank yall for the input. I just wanted to hear from some people that had more miles in the saddle than I do. Looks like I'm going with the corbin.
