Also, an easier way is to just loosen the big sprocket by holding the rear brake pedal down. Then loosen rear wheel and slide forward, slip sprocket off, replace, slide wheel back, align and tighten. Zoom zoom away ya go.
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.
