I have a Speedmaster touring seat like so -

Does anyone make a backrest that will work with the touring seat?

Thanks

Is the Triumph tall sissy bar still too short for that?

Check my photos. I have a TBA and had a homemade driver's backrest. Construction details shown in photo. Need 1 L-bracket from a hardware store, aluminum, 1/4 inch thick, for the upright, and a straight flat bracket for the crosspiece to mount a pad. Hid the crosspiece by mounting a vynal-fabric pipe tobacco pouch with a zipper.

My cost was $60 for a custom made leather covered pad. Very comfortable. I took it off after a few years to allow for more passenger room for my teenage son. I still have it in the garage, for long trips-takes about 10 minutes to install it again.

Something like would be pretty darn good. Now to figure out which one would fit our bikes.

Pretty sure it's the 750 Honda Ace? Contact the site to be sure. I have a photo of mine somewhere in my gallery.

Thanks for that link, Chris. A brief update --

I emailed the following to the vendor:

"Looking for price, availablity and photo for a backrest to fit a 2005 Speedmaster, with shipping to [zip code].

Thanks"
`````````````````````````````
The vendor replied:
"We do not have one for this [Speedmaster] bike. We have done the Triumph American only.
Harold"
```````````````````````

I'm now wondering how much difference is there between the Speedmaster and the America, with regard to the mounting area? I may order one and see if I can adapt it to fit the Speedmaster. The other option is to do 200 situps and leg lifts per day, and skip the backrest...

... mmmm - nah.

I don't see a pic of one for an America on the site, but if it mounts to the fender rails, then they are the same thing. The only problem I could see would be clearance over the top of the gunfighter seat.
