Hard to tell withoput holding one in my hands, but what the heck, it's cheap enough and the guy has tons of positive feedback. Give it a try.
When Jane got a new chain on her bike, we went to the Triumph/Honda dealer and they said, "It may take us a while to do beacuse we don't know how to use the riveter very well, it usually takes a couple hours to get them
pretty close."

Out the door to the Yamaha shop, 15 minutes and $17 dollars later the chain was on and perfect. May want to consider just taking it somewhere and have them do it while you wait.
I just could not see spending the $100+ for the fancy tool. And I really like tools too, but with only one chain between two bikes, not worth it to me.
