Does anyone know what the part # is for the H4 Sylvania Silverstar bulb for our bikes is? My high beam bit the dust the other day and I can't find the old box.

Why would that be a help since they don't sell Sylvania bulbs?

the original OEM is H4 50/55 W, 114U 37R
The Silverstar (Single Bulb) for Motorcycles is;
H4 ST H4 Base Style - P43t, 12Volt 55/60 amp
(Slightly higher than OEM, but I think they have been used without problems (someone can chime in if they've had problems
Sylvania also lists a Silverstar for Motorcycles;
H4 Sylvania SilverStar (for Motorcycles) 910/1500 Max. 65/72 4000K
That wattage is a bit of a high jump from the standard bulb and I didn't opt for it.
Pep Boys generally has a pretty good selection and should have one or both - That ain't a plug - I personally don't like PBoys

Thanks pipedr. Autozone carries them. This time I'm going to buy 2-and keep the box.

I bought an H4 Silver Star ST today at Auto Zone rated at 60/55 watts. The package reads "FOR MOTORCYCLE USE ONLY"
Apparently the "motorcycle only" part is for vibration resistance? The Sylvania web site isn't too helpful.

The "vibration resistance" is only to give the Hardly riders confidence that the bulb won't shatter as soon as they crank their "hogs" up.

That's weird. I can buy the globes at the local supermarket.

Actually, I think the motorcycle reference is due to "single bulb" use. I suspect the light pattern is a bit different.
