Lately I have been getting some squeaky noises from my front forks. Is this a problem I sould worry about and is there a remedy for this?

Silicone, dude. It's not just for implants anymore.

Also had the same problem, although mine was squeaky brake which required taking the pads out, and greasing the cylinder face where it touches the back of the pad. Problem fixed.

TBA, Stainless extractors / drag pipes, 65mm over forward controls, Thruxton needles, 904cc, head ported, lowered 1-inch, Console removed, relocated battery box, Australia.

I hosed the forks uinder the cover steel tubes with WD-40 until it ran all over the fender and forks. That helped a lot. Then I rode for a bit through the rain Monday. Now by Friday the forks squeak so loudly I am going insane. What is going on? I have a Speedy with the stainless steel fork tube covers. I am about to rip them off and coat everything with vaseline. Or else turn the bike upside down with my winch and pour a pint of oil under each fork cover.

Get something silicone based. Lowes has a whole shelf with different lubes, teflon, silicone, white lithium, wd40 etc. Also you might try loosening the two bolts that hole the shroud on, and make sure they are sitting nice and centered over the forks.

Mine squeaked insanely and no amount of silicone spray helped - I used enough silicone and lube to make even the most seasoned porn star happy. When you can hear the squeak while wearing a full-face helmet and ear plugs and over the Scepter exhaust, you know that it's a problem.

My bike was in the dealership a couple weeks ago for a warranty repair and I had them "fix" the squeak as well. I'm not sure what they did, but it did help, although I can still hear it occationally. For me, it only happens when it's really warm outside. The dealer "fixed" it under warranty.
