Thanks for the safety reminder;

I nearly forgot to replace the old 2004 air with some new 2005 air. Do you use the Triumph brand, or go with less expensive aftermarket types?

Since I only wash the bike with Evian water with sponges harvested from the Caspian Sea, it makes perfect sense to me to use only pure fresh air in the tires carefully captured from the Alps. Doesn't everybody?

I don't use Evian I do wash my bike with distilled water and a dash of hand soap. That's the honest truth. It doesn't corrode and dries without streaks. Try it.

Roland, better stock up on that fresh Alpine air, as the rare Alpine air lilies that make that air on on the way to extinction. Yes, you can probably change over to the somewhat less pure air of the Transylvanian air lily, harvested from a very small corner of the Transylvanian Alps in the remote Trans-Dniepr Region, but you will see some minor handling glitches. For instance, the tendency of the tire to wander toward fresh road kill, or swerve away from Garlic.... OH wait, no that's the Vampire Lily, sorry, a bit rusty on my horticulture....

I fill all my tires with helium. Its much lighter than air and has less rolling resistance.
...And if I inhale it, it makes my voice sound like Chuck Norris kicked me in the nards.

Well of course I clicked on this, for the simple reason you spell tyre with a Y and not with an I.You can't beat good north of Sweden air just to give it that few extra horses, reds are best.

Can I get that Hi-po air at autozone? Isn't it right next to all the rice racer stickers?

I don't know about high performance air, but sometimes I use expensive air. Hard to find free air anymore out on the road at gas stations. Most places charge either 25 or 50 cents.

I think the warranty is voided if you don't use the Triumph brand air, available at only at dealers for $149.99.

I figure it must be "cabin fever" for you folks up north, but all in all - some members seem to have way too much free time!!!
Here, it's in the 80's & riding everyday!

Palmer had me feeling sorry for myself for a few minutes. Then I remembered that Florida has no mountains, and gets as much rain in three months as I get in a whole year.

Slug is correct - our highest elevation by far, here in S. Florida are the landfills! And beginning in June, there are thunderstorms almost daily around 4-6PM for 4 months. But I figure that is a small price to pay for being able to ride next to the Atlantic (or Gulf) 350+ days per year (excluding those pesky hurricanes!) Though I must admit when I was riding in Wyoming last year, I had to keep remembering to shut my mouth - I was in awe of the mountains! I wonder if those of you who have mountains to look at (& ride around!) ever get used to them? I know I still appreciate seeing the ocean everyday. What a country, huh?

I guess everywhere has its pros and cons. Lots of nice mountain riding around here, but it snowed today.

Every spring I get a tank of air from Lourdes, France. If you ever get a flat, St Bernadette will come and fix it for you. I run Lourdes water in the batteries and Thunderbird radiatir as well: never a leak or over-heating problem.
(Oh boy, am I gonna burn for this).

Palmer, don't you mean you get rain (heavy rain) from 4-4:15 pm, and the roads are dry and clear by 5! I used to live in Naples (still miss it!) and never sweated the rain, cause most times it was gone as fast as it came.... And no, I never got tired of seeing the ocean either!

Greg:

You are right-on re: the daily "thunder-boomers" - I just try to avoid being on the road around 4 to 5 PM.
My family owned places in Naples from 1970 to 2003 - talk about change! During season (now), there are too many Q-tip cagers on the roads; but off-season, Naples is still a great place to chill out for a long weekend.

Isn't the highest peak in Florida the "Matterhorn" at Disneyworld? Now there would be a worthwhile ride with a SM or TBA...but the wait times in line would kill ya.

Palmer, what shocked me besides the explosion from 1991-1999, was that Naples was recently named one of the hottest and fastest growing communities for singles in the US!!!! Wow, when I lived there, it had the dubious distinction of being God's Waiting Room due to all the Q-tips(Never heard that, but love it!) I would love to still get down there again, like you say though, after the flock has flown back north though!

I rotate the air in my tires. Basically I take the air from the front tire and put it in the rear, and visa versa. Of course I always have to add a little extra air to the rear one since the front one is smaller and has less air capacity and it can't fill the rear one all the way up. I heard if you rotate them you get better mileage and like 3hp at the crank.

I like scented air in my tires. It smells so good when you get a flat.
