I read where (as you guys said) the entire Bonneville line will be the larger motor for 2007. They say the sales are so good, they are trying to get new Bonneville's into the dealers ASAP. I also read that the America(don't know if they lumped the Speedmaster in there) was the 12th or 18th best selling cruiser world wide. That seems pretty impressive considering all the Harleys and Jap bikes.
Anyone have any idea how many BA and BS's have been sold since their introduction? Many I would say.

Red,
Talk to my shop saturday and they said they were heading to the dealer meetings on Sept. 15th in Miami. I guess we will all know in two weeks.
That is unless their is some one out there that can get the skinny on the new ones early some how.

I find it interesting that Triumph increased the Speedy to 865cc last year but choose not to increase the America. This could mean a couple of different things, TRA increased the Speedy engine to entice more buyers to the somewhat slower selling Speedmaster. Or-----they have Bigger Plans for the America, as in bigger displacement. Possible the much anticipated and rumored 1200-1500 cruiser. We shall soon find out. I love my America and it would be hard to part with but doesnt everyone think Triumph could sell more 1200-1500cc parallel twins than they could produce. I christen the " America II"

I'd be happy with an increase to 1,000 - 1,200 cc's,
but in the same parallel twin configuration, and a
little more low end torque(which I think larger diameter
pistons would get).

It will never happen.
the america and speedmaster will not be replaced.
they may hake a bike between the the america and rocket, mabey make the speedmaster larger 1000cc, but their not stupid enouth to give up the 750 to 800cc market just to make a bigger bike for us..... BUY THE KIT !

According to my dealer they increased the speedy & T100 to the bigger engine to justify the extra expense, and will be bringing the other bikes in line (and dropping the 790) in 07. He also tells me that he has inside info that the 1500cc midrange cruiser - styled more like the america than the rocket - will be released same year.
I guess we'll see how good his info is soon enough.

I don't think going from 790 to 1,000-1,200 would add that much weight, and it seems like there is plenty of room for bigger jugs. And a 6-speed woud be nice. More pull, and the handling(that we all love) shouldn't change much.
Any Triumph people listening? Hello!

Why not make them in diffrent "trim" so to speak.. Kind of like Honda does wiht the Shadow and the VTX..
Make the current one the "sport" model Make a 1000cc mid line model with more options then the smaller one And make a 1500cc model with full touring package as a option or have as a stripped down bad boy street fighter.. I mean the options are limitless.. The Bonneville is a great starting point for any bike.. I mean just look as what people on this board do with the minium amount of aftermarket support. I would honestly hate to see the BA or the SM held back,,, I know i would love a 1500cc BA but Jessica would have a problem with it, so a 800 or 1000cc bike fits her better.
Dont like what you see??? Big red X in the top right of your screen will fix it!

I don't think anyone suggested dropping the 865cc line.
Keep one of the two America or Speedmaster. I don't see the need for two bikes in this range when you can accessorize them and make what you like.
Look around guy,the 1200cc and up cruiser is what most manufactures are making a killing on.
I look forward to a Triumph cruiser in the 1200-1500 range
instead of "The Kit" when it happens!

I'm up for anything that resembles the america/speedmaster even somewhat with a 1200 to 1500 parallel twin. I'll even bite the bullet and accept water if necassary, tho i don't see why it would need to be when HD uses air on even bigger engines with one cylinder out of the airstream ! Anyways, i am literally chomping at the bit, and i'm quite certain that the day this bike arrives is the day my speedy will hit the classifieds. I friggin cannot wait !!!!!! A 6 speed 1500 speedy or similar is my dream come true.

If the 1200-1500cc cruiser comes out styled like the America... I'm going to be the first one in line at the dealer with a check in hand.

Hi Steve, Welcome. No telling what colors may show up. They change too often for me, but I am sure "boring black" will be among the offerings.

Ahh.....but the pureness of black is so serenely wicked!
Whatever they do they gotta offer em in black.
It has been scientifically proven that the aerodynamics of a black Speedmaster add five HP to the stock bike with no mods at all!
