Does anyone know if the AI pump can be re-routed to force air into the intake and what psi it runs at?

Sorry, no pressure to be had.... AI on these just work by drawing air in to a low pressure area behind the exhaust valve when it shuts, controlled by a reed valve in the AI unit itself. You may be thinking of the air injection system on some cars with an engine driven pump used to force air in similarly. Nice try, but not this time.

Even if you could replace the AI pump with something that'd deliver pressure there's nothing remotley similar to the AI port on the inlet side.

Oh well, worth a try, any ideas on how to add a bit of boost without big bucks?

Drill the airbox (destructions in the tech vault) , remove a baffle or two from the pipes, rejet main jets in carb.
Should cost you about $12.

Once you've opened up the exhaust system a bit, remove every rubber bit you can find from the airbox. Some bikes have just the one at the inlet, others also have 2 down inside where the air is fed into the carbs.
