is there any of the uk members out there that would agree with me that walsall in the middlands is in the birmingham area? adey seems to think its not?,if it isnt in the birmingham area where is it?. if you were explaining to someone from the north east of uk where it was , where would you say it was near?

How about an non-UK member's perspective?

According to MapQuest,
Walsall is in the West Midlands and Birmingham is also in the West Midlands!

On that page it tells me that Walsall is 10.48 miles from Birmingham which is the same distance from Ft. Liquordale to Sunrise (the town I live in). Far as I can tell from any map, it's all the same place. City road after city road after city road.... sigh....

Of course, it may be argued that Walsall is on the outskirts of Birmingham but I imagine that's like saying Sunrise is on the outskirts of Ft. Liquordale. When I ride, it all looks like the same city to me.....
