I think I would need to get a better seat for my wife, as the pillion pad is just not going to make her comfortable for my next 1K ride. It has gotten too lonely after 4 days.......
Besides Crobin, what are our choices for a nice seat for the ladies? I know some of you guys have gotten them, but I can't find any info in the archives of late.
Thanks.

This is the Triumph "Touring Pillion". My wife really likes this seat vs. the OEM pillion. #A9701116, $125 from Ma's.

I'm not going to say the front seat..... Damn. I have.
One day you may carry a male pillion too.
But then I've never carried a pillion....I get going to fast for them to get on....
And this is me being tame...I could say stuff really sarcastic.....just I'm tired!
But seriously there's a touring pad to replace the back seat for Americas. If you have a Speedie, you'll have to replace the whole lot.

I can vouch for the Triumph touring pad too. Not from personal experience, but from the 3 or 4 regular pillions who've been on the bike with both the standard pad and the touring one. It doesn't look like a big change, but it practically doubles their distance. Hey Al.. what do you use on your seat to keep it looking so shiny & new? Mine's turning grey.

Gina,
I'd rather my wife ride on her own bike, but she is not that interested yet. And if I'm going to go away for 4 days, I'm not taking a male pillion. My question wasn't a slight to women, just a question to make her comfortable. Now if you want to come on this side of the pond and ride, you are welcomed to.

But the yet bit is hope.
I'd love to ride over there - maybe next year. After I've riden in Oz!
Just don't always take me seriously... I'm normally sarcastic. Especially when I've just got home from work, which I had when I wrote that.

My wife loves riding with the Triumph Touring seat (Speedmaster) and sissy bar. I added sheepskin pads for the icing on the cake.

My wife has no complaints with the touring seat. Granted I may have little room to crow about that as she does not ride with me that often.
A real test of the seat as far as comparable comfort would be how it feels on an extended trip. As it seems it is more than adequate for short haul trips where you are on the bike from a half hour to an hour or so.
some dont like the looks of it on the Speedmaster and say it ruins the lines of the bike. I have left mine on instead of returning the stock gunfighter seat. The look grew on me and I have no problems with it.

Kevin, I put the touring seat on when riding 2 up and the stock gunfighter seat on when riding solo. We can ride for hours on the touring seat with no problem at all.
I have the short sissy bar and in conjunction with the touring seat the bike lines really flow, in my opinion.
However I wish I had gotten the tall sissy bar as it would probably be easier to mount a pack to.

Yes kev....thats why I got the tall one as I suppose at some point I will have need to mount a large piece of luggage to that puppy.
My wife is a scooter sissy so she does not ride much.
