I have a California model speedy with the evap loss system and when removing the rear wheel the other day i noticed something. Theres a small cannister (not the big sideways mounted one) about the diameter of a beer can (Ummmmmmmmmm..........beeeeeeer) and about 1/2 the length that is facing down with a tube protruding out of it that looks like it's meant to have a cap or a hose on it due to the way the end of the tube has a "donut" for lack of a better word just before the end of it like they generally do to make a cap or hose stay on. But theres nothing on it. The manual as usual is no help, so i was hoping someone knows whether it's supposed to have anything on it or is it supposed to be open like it is. I imagine it's a drain and therefore is right the way it is, but then what would a drain be doing on a systen thats supposed to return fumes to the tank? Maybe an overflow? Any ideas whether it's meant to be capped? the pic in the manual seems to show a can with a tube on it, but in a crude drawing theres no way to tell if it's supposed to be capped.

Mine had one on it as it was a CA model. I took both canisters off and all the residual hoses. Quite a mess of junk once removed.

Q: is there supposed to be a cap on that small cannister under my triumph?

A: Elvis Presley didn't really die and is an undercover federal drug agent.

What I can't figure out is why OH why does Nancy have a
Califonication model when we live in Ohio?

It will be removed when I put the Epcos on!

But still, We are a LONG way from the OTHER coast.

Leftovers. When the dealers sell their allotment they get whatever is available. The left coast dealers end up with too many, sell back and they ship them everywhere. There is a guy that just posted from Florida that got one too. Go figure.

I say all us construction workers take jack hammers,
head west and help turn Nevada into beach front property!
Then the rest of us don't have to deal with the maddness
the comes from the west!!!

That was Doug, Pat. He got that one because he wanted the green. The only one the dealer could locate was in a crate out in la-la land so they shipped it.

When I saw all that crap on there, I backed away. Needed more info.

I know that, it wasn't the question. Besides, i don't want to remove it. I just wanna know whether that cannister is supposed to be capped. You'll have to re-read my 1st post to understand what i'm asking.
