Does anyone besides Triumph make a flyscreen for the America? I've found a few (National Cycle, etc), but there appear to be some fit problems. The DART one is really nice, but not made to mount on a TBA. Anyone have any info?
Man, if I knew anything, I'd be rich and famous...

Try SlipStreamer they have several designs that fit our bikes.
Go to the Tech Vault here, there are several other choices also.

I had a National Cycle on, Fitment was great, but I've removed my fork covers Replaced with a Memphis Shade sport screen used standard 41 mm. mounting hardware, had to use a 1/8 in. shim on each side between windshield hardware and mounting hardware Suziki 800 intruder (? i think ?) mounts fit our bikes if you still have your fork covers on. Maybe someone else can confirm this

Contact Blackwind as well, he has been tracking the use of his National Cycle flyscreen. Give him a holler, seems to like it.

How well does it work? Keep the wind off your chest? Any head buffeting, or are you just in the wind?

it keeps the wind off my chest but directs it at my forehead. it does keep bugs off, for the most part. mostly it looks cool.

Seems like it would be good for long trips. I don't mind the wind in my face, but 500 miles of 70 MPH on my chest gets old...

never thought screens belonged on bikes, but as the years pile up, I seem to be more interested in one that looks like it belongs.......

Here is my Givi 605A. Mounts to handlebars and removes quickly if needed. It is just enough to deflect the wind from my chest and over the top of my helmet. I am 6 ft.

That is the one I have, only I got the lighter tint (it's almost clear).
Have not experienced the bugs, yet, (with the flyscreen on), but like Cat says - it takes it off the chest, and puts it on your forehead (may depend on your height and helmet style?)
Changed what I was used to hearing on the road, but I am used to it now.
I like it, and that is really all I was looking for - some relief for the chest on long trips at 80+ mph. It looks better than a bigger screen (minimalist?) and is not a liability when passing the big rigs on the Interstate.
It has not created any buffeting of my head, although at first that is what I thought it was. It sends the air up over the top of my faceshield, and therefore the change in sound. I can ride with the shield cracked a bit now if I want, where before I could not at all without a major windblast in the face.
Just what I wanted, actually.
There are different styles, with different mounting brackets - some curved, some straight. Mine are just like this one. You can adjust the rake, and the height of the screen over the headlight. I have mine fairly upright, but also sitting down just above the light - flush with the front of the headlight lens.
