Last night while changing my oil and checking things over, I noticed an allen head screw on each carb on the outside towards the bottom. One is screwed in flush and the other one has about an 1/8" of threads showing, are these drain screws? I was wondering why such a difference?, no one has messed with the carbs except to sync them, so they came like this new. Any input would be appreciated.

To answer your question, yes they are drain plugs, and mine are exactly the same, no, don't know why there is a difference.

Mine are the same as yours. It's normal for some bikes to have one flush and the other sticking out a bit.
