Hi guys and girls,

I have a question. For my America, I would like to install a Quiet Power Drive belt. I have found this belt on the homepage www.newspeedmaster.com. Their price is relatively high and I am presently trying to find alternatives in Germany.

For this, I require technical data. Who can tell me -

1. how many teeth must the front tire have and how thick/deep does it have to be ?
2. how many teeth must the rear tire have and how thick/deep does it have to be ?
3. how many teeth must the belt itself have and how thick does it have to be ?

I would very much appreciate your replies to my question. Thank you.

If you do it today you MIGHT regret it. If you CAN'T do it tomorrow you WILL regret it.

QPD is rebuilding their website QPD site , but they used to have the ratios (number of teeth front/rear) posted. I can get the numbers off my belt later, I do rememeber it is a 28.5mm pitch between the teeth though (using the Goodyear Blackhawk belts) , and 135 teeth if I rerember correctly, but I'll get the info later and post what I have.

Hello Dinqua,

I sincerely hope that you haven't gone into hibernation yet, or have you?
When do you think you can post the promised information?
I am very much looking forward to it.

Regards, Korja
P.S. or can someone else perhaps answer the above question? this would be of great help!

I think this is the info you're looking for on Dinqua's site: Belt conversion

First of all, Welcome to the site!
You've come to the right place.

I ordered the QPD belt drive from Brent at newspeedmaster.com
last week. It is on back-order.
Hopefully it will arrive before the NorEast Rally, so I can
ask(bribe) Pat for help putting it on. His website has a
great section on installation, but I'd rather do it under
the supervision of someone that's done it before (and someone
who I consider an expert on these bikes).

I agree it's expensive, but I'm convinced it'll be worth it.

Progress reports to follow,
Uncle Charlie
