The Cafe are opening for our Night Meet on the 12th August 2006 from 10pm until 1am.
You name the time and I will meet you, which way you fancy going or do you fancy making it an all day event?

In my mind I had planned an all day ride. Get back to yours later in the afternoon - less'n you want to meet earlier?? Open to suggestions mate.
Is the idea just for everyone to meet at the cafe?

So this is the great opportunity to do the Kirkstone Pass, plenty of stops(Fag breaks)and we are already at Penrith when we get to the end of the Kirkstone Pass.
May I suggest an early meet a leisurely run through to Windermere and then have lunch or whatever then a run around the lakes. What do you think?

Adey and I have had a natter on Skype as long as the weather permits
OK, so we make it an all day ride, around the lakes and then head up Kirkstone Pass and then to this meet, sounds like a plan.... Anybody else up to it? I will ask Margaret to get plenty of Bacon etc in for Sunday morning

Hey Brian That weekend I'll be heading further up north to meet Spud and ride some in Scotland.
Rode to Hawes a few weeks ago with Ray - great great roads and scenery is superb.
Enjoy it mate.
Unless of course you want to change routes and join in with the ride to Scotland??
I'm planning on going up Saturday and getting a Travel lodge or something ready for the meet on Sunday.

Just got back around 0330 Sunday morning after setting of at 0800 Saturday morning. Been looking at my pics I took. Another great days riding Oop North. Actually got into Scotland - only just but hey, the sign said Scotland welcomes you so we were in Scotland. We got funny money to prove it and everything! Thanks again Ray - good times mate, good times. Good to meet Alan and his wife (sorry, I didn't get your name ) at the charity bike meet. We managed to get out before the slide show started! Soaked coming home, but hey ho such is life!

just to let you know it was good to meet you both(ade n ray) we got home at 01.30. it rain'd most of the way home, at 1 point we were down to 30mph,going over the a66, the wind was pushing us accross the other side of the road. stil we made it home in 1 piece and thats the important bit! debbie(my wife), said she enjoyd most of it, apart from just as we were leaving the cafe when a rabit decided to have a look at the tread on my tyres!, i did try to avoid it but other than ride off the road there wasnt much i could do,i went left it did, went right ,it did!!!,thought debbie was going to cry!,made the tyres a bit slippy for a while!. hope to get out n meet up with some more of you guys soon.

Well what can I say, great riding together again Ade, and some very, very nice scenery. That road we took to Alston was excellent and dare I say it better than the Cat & Fiddle, other than the few drops of rain in Penrith we encountered nothing at all on my way home besides the cold. finally got home at 01.35, the Mrs was up and made me a cuppa then straight to bed as I am getting a little old now to be up so late Great day out mate and as of yet not looked at the pictures I took.. Nice to meet Alan and Debbie and will look forward to meeting you both again
