Anyone out there ever convert a BA to a trike?

My dad passed away and my mom wants to convert his bike to a trike

Steve,

I understand your need as in a couple of more years I may need a third wheel.

At 790cc for her America I'm not sure the additional weight of the body work, frame, rear end, diff, etc., would give a decent ride. Most of the "factory" conversions are for bikes having 1,200cc or larger engines.

She may wish to re-think the high cost of the conversion.

Although a couple of years ago I saw a really nice, firm, well-designed "clip-on" setup for a Honda 1100cc bike. The rider said the conversion kits was only $3,800 (vs. some ten thou$and PLUS for a "standard trike" conversion.) Their price is higher now ($4,095), but check out: http://www.mtcvoyager.com/

In my humble opinion, the best is:

Do please keep in mind that riding a trike is a whole different skill set than riding a two-wheel motorcycle.
