Does anyone know of any issues in doing this. One is obviously the fact that you have twin discs on the SM front wheel, whats the best way to handle this ?? All help and avice appreciated

No issues at all, just put them on and ride, they match perfectly. You can also just use one brake in the front if you want, but with the dual setups you need to add the extra brake caliper and line stuff.
Nothing to it, go for it, lots have done the same.
I think Mert did hers recently (she finally saw the light ) and can probably give you some heads up on what to expect.

A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice. Pat

Unless you feel you need an extra disc up front, don't do it! Why would you want to swap shiny spokes for gloomy cast wheels???

Hey Mert

Have you upgraded your brakes and put a caliper on the other side, or have you just kept to the one.

When you do the wheel kit if you don't want to the other rotor Triumph supplies a chrome ring to close out the wheel.

click the link in my signature to see the closure plate and one without the additonal brake.

Mert, are you saying the wheel kit for the $790.00 should have delivered to me a fork, caliper, and rotor? All I got was the wheels and closure ring then had to buy new tires naturally.

didn't mean to mislead anyone.
the brake upgrade was an additional expense. since i did the whole conversion i didn't really think of the wheel kit/brake assembly separately.

Wow! Nice. Now if I may be so bold since it seems you are rolling in it, "Hey Shari! Let me hold a dalla!"

PS: Shaun is just jealous.

Hey Ron,

Did you keep the bag for the closure ring? It might have a part number on it.

On the Fiche-man cd, under Triumph accessories, they list a break down of the "cast wheel kit - A9938044" for the Bonneville America. Item #4 on the list is a "A9640005 - flange - wheel (not illustrated)"

This may be the piece you're looking for.....
