I won't name the HD Dealer but today I was headed to my dealer to pick up some parts. On the way I passed a HD Dealer. They had a bunch of bikes they were pulling out of crates so I whipped in just to take a look to see if they were new models or something. Anyway, same old same old... so I pulled on past around the back of the dealer and guess what I saw in the employee parking area... a beautiful black and silver speedy parked up by the building like someone was trying to hide it! I swear I just sat there and laughed. I felt like putting a note on it that said "park it out front... show em what real bikers ride"!

On the other hand, the service manager at my Triumph dealer rides a Ducati! When I asked him why he was not riding a Triumph, he said he can take his pick of the demo bikes anytime, so wanted something different! Each to his own I guess

The lcal Honda dealer, which advertises that they are the oldest Honda Dealer in the US of A. One of their employees rides a Rocket III. I talked to the guy at bike night and he said he would never own another Honda again.

Not to pee in your soup, BUT...
Unless you were standing outside an actual Harley factory, my guess is the employee is working for "an independent franchised" dealer and thus is not an actual, directly-hired employee of Harley-Davidson, Inc.
Nice catch, anyway.

I bet you take a lot of crap for that. I'm sure any H-D dealer would not be happy about it. The last thing they want is for bikers to think for themselves.

My uncle lost his Harley dealership in PA in the late 40's when he bought a BMW.

I went on a tour of the HD factory in York, Pennsylvania in 1984. When we finished, the tour guide said as we were walking out the door, "This is something I'm not proud of, but hoping it will change with our new EVO engine." He pointed to the 20 or so motorcicles in the employee parking lot - two Harleys, the rest were Japanese bikes. I've been there, I know.
Fascinating tour, by the way.
I went to the local HDealer last week and looked at an Ultra - Black Cherry - Sweet Ride. 2005 model with 1750 miles, 21,000 dollars.
Ride Safe,
