Sure would like a backrest for longer trips. I think I saw someone build a backrest for their bike (FriarJohn?). Does anyone have a solution that looks good without shelling out a shitload for Corbin seats?

This guy's been selling backrests for a while for about 125. I've seen others like it advertised for over 2.

I don't have one so this is not a recommendation one way or the other.

This one is home-made at a cost of around 10 bucks. The base is a backrest from an old office-chair that I cut to a suitable size, glued on some high-density foam and very kindly asked the mrs to sew a cover to. Everything is bolted to an L-shaped bracket mounted under the passenger seat. Hope this helps!

I've got one of the backrests that jj suggested. Haven't installed or used it yet, got it for Georgia before I decided to get a corbin. It's pretty straight forward, there are some brackets that bolt onto the second set of bolts on the rear fender and then the backrest pegs slide into the brackets, that's it. This guy does contact you when you buy it and ask you how tall you are and if/what saddle bags you have. He then custom makes it to fit you.

By the way the brackets are powdercoated black.

I have the Protac (the one on Ebay $125) - it helps with my back. Needs a few washers to fit correctly, and I reduced the vertical bend a bit. Photo in my member gallery.

Tweren't me, I sprung for the Corbin. But I did stash a picture of one on my web site. I never did make a note of who made it, though.
