To pour salt into an already stinging open wound an American is once again victorious in the Tour De France.

Floyd Landis adds his name to the list of Americans who have risen to the task of overcoming this little jaunt thru the French countryside.

Will the pain never end for Le Francais?

I'm not sure we can really claim Tiger as an American anymore. It's obvious he's really an alien from the planet of Golf. Talk about back on his game, Wow!

It is fun having an American win that bicycle thingy the French do since it so obviously pisses off the Froggies

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Plus factor in the huge spanking he gave them was doing all this with bad hip and how he poured on the coal after he ran out of gas! Tremendous fortitude.

It's all good, but it's all make believe

A bike without a motor....what a concept! (not.....)

Still, that Landis fellow is one heck of a competitor.

Too much testosterone? Ha! Only proves it takes a lotta balls to win that type of race. But then again, that doesn't quite hold true with Lance now, does it? On the other hand, Landis won Le Tour needing a HIP REPLACEMENT fergawdsakes. I'd say he should be forgiven for it even if he WAS taking some extra man juice to boost his performance.

Still waiting on the B sample to back it up, but if true it's a crying shame. I thought maybe Landis would be standing on a higher ethical ground since he was raised a Mennonite. If he tests positive, I'm done watching cycling, and I've been following the sport since LeMond.

IF he did, he would be a fool too, knowing the scrutiny that they would be under after the big Spanish doping scandal! Hope for his sake and for bicycling that the test results are somehow screwed up and he is proved innocent.

I am sick and tired of hearing about athletes ramping up on junk. Takes all the real competition out of sports and puts out the impression that nobody is competeting naturally. Heck, I (with virtally no athletic ability) could inject some stuff, pop some pills, drink some swill and win the Tour De France, hit 100 home runs, score 20 touch downs and run a 2:00 minute mile all in the same day. Unfortunatley, it would all be completely 100% phoney and not real. Maybe all sports are no longer a contest between people with natural abilities, talents and drives to hone and perfect those talents and abilities. Maybe sports are are all about who can amp themselves up the most and cheat to win.

I really hope he passes the drug tests and it is known without any doubt that he didn't do any crap.

You know Soren it seems funny, but this has really hit a peak moreso lately, now with such big sponsers and everything being such a BIG buck entertainment thing anymore instead of sports. What, wasn't Hank Aaron or Babe Ruth exciting enough back then, they never needed the Lowes World Series or anything like that to pack stadiums!

I wonder who put that in there, and how? Must have been a French (spit) guy on the night before that leg of the race.

The quote in today's paper said it was 4:1. They are doing a second test and I sincerely hope the first was a mistake.
