This morning, I was leaving the bank and getting ready to put on my helmet and this guy walks by and says "I know I evolved from monkeys because my eye catches anything shiny." I just stand there with a dumbfounded look as he walked into the bank. So, as I'm riding out of the parking lot, I think maybe this was a compliment on my scoot...then I start thinking that maybe he was referring to my shiny balding spot!! A quick look in the mirrors and I didn't see him following me!! Strange...I just prefer the simple, easy to understand compliments that we all usually get!

I would have taken that as sarcasm. Reply would have been 'size of your brain would have been a bigger clue'. \but thats just me...

Yeah, "nice bike" would have worked just fine.

I'd take it as a compliment, if you have a alot of chrome on your scoot.

Probably a KU ChickenHawk fan looking for validation. Ignore him. He probably thought he was going to find bananas in the bank too.

What he was really trying to say is, "Wow, I couldn't help but notice your bike because it looks awesome." Some people just have a tough time with a straight forward compliment (especially those that are part monkey).

That is strange to say the least. I think it had to be a compliment or he would have said nothing. I think hmmm. lol. Strange guy.

When in doubt, take it as a compliment. If it wasn't, it would be from a position of ignorance anyway. The only correct reactions to Triumphs are dropped jaws, looks of admiration, compliments, and the like.

I had one today. I was sitting on the edge of a parking lot having a smoke. A guy went by, did a double-take, then made a u-ey. Came up to me and said "I haven't seen one of them since meat was cheap!"....
