8964 miles later I am finally home! Other than missing a few points along the way (New York for example) the trip went off without a hitch. Very little rain concidering the amount of time I was on the road, right at six weeks. The Triumph ran flawlessly the entire time be it in pouring down rain in North Carolina to 123 degrees in the Arizona desert. Didn't even have to adjust the chain! Points of interest I managed to see include, The Bonneville Salt Flats, Fayetteville NC, The Ricjhard Petty Museum, Kill Devil Hill, NC (site of the first powered airplane flight) Washington DC and the Smithsonian, Dayton OH, the Air Force Museum and all the other Wright Brother's site's in town, then finally Route 66 from Chicago to Santa monica! I shot over 1000 pictures along the way and I'll get some posted when I can.

Sounds like an absolutley AWESOME trip! Can't wait to see some of the pics.
How long did it take you? What was your favorite place? How many times did you get asked "What year is that?". Stories, we want stories

Son of a biker! That would absolutely cripple my arse for life... after about 2 hours my tail bone goes numb, by hour three it feels like it's on fire. If i ride for over 4 hours I have to recuperate for almost a day. I can't even fathom a ride like this. HUGE congratulations!

Excellent Greg! Some riders in this country think a couple of hundred miles is 'a long way' ...

Incrediable just f**king incrediable, what a trip you have to post your best story first. Do you camp out at night ? Sleep on the beach ? What a vacation !!

Well I'm still trying to find the time to get some of the 1100 pictures I took loaded onto the computer so I can get them on Yahoo or photopost or something like that there. Probably be at least another week or two before I get the chance. Take care!
