Ok, not going to rub it in, about when I got home!!!!

Thanks to Jan for organising it, and everyone there for a most pleasant weekend.
Oh and a special thanks so Wizard Ales, for 'One for the Toad' which everyone decided went down 'very' well!! - hence no piccies of this.

The ride out yesterday was not done in the 'best of weather', but did remain fairly dry, just a little 'windy'.
We had a 80 mile'ish' run through the heart of the Cotswolds. Stopping at Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Steam Railway for lunch, before heading back towards Bourton on the Water for a stop at the birth place and home of BRUM, followed by our last stop at the world famous (as Jan assured us!) Rollright Stones, before returning to the pub for evening meal and a bit of 'socialising', finally leaving at just after midnight for some deep and meaningful (although already forgotten) conversation outside of the tents - our thanks also go to the wedding party for supplying the music!!!!

And of course NO comment will be made about Jan's sleeping arrangements!!!!!!!!!! ( I will leave that for others to do)

General discussion, both last night and this morning, is that we should make this an annual event (at least next year!), as the views, ride, venue and location (central for everyone), were of the highest quality.

Happy have we met
Happy may we part
and happy meet again.

For some reason I've spent the last hour or so asleep....

Did we decide on what stars we were staring at???

Strange that, so did I!!!

As for stars, no WE decided what stars we were looking at, YOU got the wrong hemisphere - your not in Aus now!! So tactfully changed the subject to 42!!

Thanks for organising the bash Jan. A smashing weekend. Good company, good beer, good ride...only sorry I couldn't stay for saturday night too. I had a fun packed trip home with high winds and torrential rain around Birmingham, but I've nearly dried out now !!
Definitely agree it should be an annual event (....at least). John.

Did a slight detour, but got back ok, with regard to the general discusion, could'nt agree more, think it's a good idea to have a few regular venues, one up north, one in the midlands, and try and find one down south. It's not a big country, so three or four hours riding is no real sweat, to get somewhere. I'm sure for the most of us the journey there and back is just as enjoyable, as being at the destination, in the presence of fine and diverse company, with some fine and diverse ales/countryside, thrown in for good measure.

Andy

I wondered that.... I left the path he was taking not long after Cirencester, so it wasn't my fault....

All,

Thanks for a great weekend - you all made me feel very welcome and your company was much appreciated.

The organisation of this trip was exceptional and well thought out. Withhout going on too much - the weather may have tried to spoil it but the poeple more than made up for it

Regards

Bill
