What are the thoughts on the Triumph Flyscreen? Does anyone have one and could post some pics? Thinking about getting one. Is it functional? Also, can it be mounted if you take of the fork shrouds?
Oh man!! I'm going to jail!!

Dave, I've run one on my bike for a few months, & they work pretty well. It deflects air & bugs off your chest & face. It does not block the weather like a bar-mounted shield. Oh yeah, it mounts onto the triple tree, so it shouldn't matter if your shrouds are on /or off. Check out this PIC http://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/photopost/data/502/845P1010045-med.JPG

I've got one - mainly because it was on the bike when I bought it. I've kept it because at my height (5' 10")it seems to move most of the air over my head, and I think it looks better than a big screen

I like mine.....also gave me a place to mount my front turn signals. The Chrome/Black one mounts to the shrouds.

The fly screen. I have placed one on my Bonnie-A...........the fly screen serves multiple purposes and has justified its premium price..#1 it looks stylish #2 it meets our state requirement for a windshield if I am ever careless enough to forget eye protection #3 it is an instant conversation starter i.e. "what is that supposed to be?" #4 it keeps the bugs off the back of my speedometer and #5 it creates a bubble of protection around the rider at 160mph..note: this last example is used around sport bikers and always brings about a sense of awe from these types.....bottom line- it is worth it !

Dave, I'm running a Givi Airstars A601. It's a little larger than the Triumph fly screen. Mounts to the handle bar, and has lot of adj. Does a good job of keeping wind, and most bugs off. I got mine from Twisted throttle. 93.96 plus a few $ for shipping. Mark

Hey Mark,
Does that Givi have the curl at the top? It seems that everyone that has a screen with that curl tells me that it helps deflect the wind better....

Phil, The screen has a flat top, no curl. had a bit of buffeting, but with some fine tuning its mostly gone. I may put a larger screen on this fall(memphis slim) when the weather turn cooler, but I rode into Dec.with the Givi screen last year. With the temp in the 40s a 2-3 hr ride was not to bad. A larger screen would be better for an all day ride at those temps mark

I bought mine to hide that huge, honking speedometer and it does that rather effectively. Oh yeah, and it does block some wind in its spare time ...ride safe....Gordon

I would love to have one of those chrome flyscreens if the glass was clear.

National Cycle makes the screens for Triumph, and show two versions - a light tint, and a dark tint, available for our bikes. Check it out. And at a more reasonable price, too. (The National Cycle site must be down right now, but here are the same pictures on the BikeBandit site.) With an AMA membership discount you can have one of these for $120, including shipping and tax. (Or I can, anyway.) BikeBandit National Cycle Flyscreens for America or SpeedmasterWith my black Speedmaster, and all the chrome of the lightbar and all up front, I will probably get the lighter tint version. Not so over-the-top that it wouldn't "blend" in better I think. Looks like most of the reviews are positive, and I know more will chime in. (Newspeedmaster05?)

Keith, If you get one let me know what you think... that light tinted one is much more in line with what I want too.
