What is a good bag for this bike. I read some of the other posts but most used the ez brackets. I have the thriumph brackets and would like to use them without having to change anything. I would like the bag to have some room in them.

Pretty much any of the bags people talk about will work as the over-the-fender style with those brackets.

I have the Saddleman Jumbo Slant bags on my bike. They have a lot of room, and I have the stock Triumph saddlebag supports. I just use a 1/4 inch thick piece of plywood inside the bottoms for additional support. They work great and fit fine.

Hey Tom..Looks good. Are you using the plywood only on the bottom of the bag? Does the saddleman have a plastic liner as well for the sides and back?

I know that this won't allow you to use the triumph brackets, but the K-Drive bags look/work great, and there is a ton of room in them. I can cruise with at least 18 cans of beer in each, could probably squeeze in a few more! They are pretty durable too, all sides of the bags are reinforced.

The back of the saddlebags are made of a plastic like material, and that is the only truly hard part of the bags. The rest of the bags are made of an imitation leather (quite good) and the straps are of real leather, and the buckles allow a small padlock to keep them locked if you wish. The bags will keep their shape, its just that I was loading them with a tool roll the bottom would drop about an inch, so I used the wood to keep the bottom flat. I have read of others who said that the plastic back can crack if unsupported or loaded heavily, but that is not my experience. I have had them 3 years and they are as good as new.

Topher..Yea I like the k-drive bags but the bracket still stays on the bike when the bags are off? IMHO may as well use the stock brackets. Although it would be harder to take the bags off.
Tom.. Thanks for clearing that up.
I am now thinking of two other options. Hard bags. Maybe something custom made or maybe leather neck jim bags with the ez brackets.
