Because of the 4 valve design and the cam timing, the new engines will always have more snap to the sound than the older twins, that's something that can't be helped without changing the cam profile so much as to sacrifice a lot of performance. Let's hope there's intelligent life somewhere in space 'cause it's buggar all down here. -- Monte Python
