Late 60s Bonneville would be the stock slashcuts with two baffles removed. Triumph stock was never an ear popper.

Except for that 90 degree rumprump----rumprump---- idle my Epco pipes sound very much like the hotrod 650 I used to have. Because of the 4 valve design and the cam timing, the new engines will always have more snap to the sound than the older twins, that's something that can't be helped without changing the cam profile so much as to sacrifice a lot of performance.

I have the Epco slash cuts and get complements all the time on the sound. Not sure if it sounds like the old triumphs, but folks have said, it sounds a lot bigger than it is. LOL.
