Call me weird but, I think this is cool...
My dream vintage bike, well no.... But I don't have a garage big enough for every bike I like.

I've mentioned it before, but it's worth repeating since I get to post a pic of one again. A Crocker done up like this one, only with some functional brakes. The website I pulled this from said it was ridden all over the set at the Salt Flats during the filming for The World's Fastest Indian. Also said it has internal left throttle and right shift.

Moto Guzzi V-8. I saw it last month. The 'Art of the Motorcycle' is at Orlando Museum of Art. I love the fact that it's only done in primer because a proper paint job would make it heavier.

I be ridin' with Soren on this one!!! Triumph/BSA X-75 Hurricane. Here's a link to Craig Vetter's Website . There is also a very interesting article about how the X-75 Hurricane came about.
For those of you who don't know, Craig Vetter revolutionized modern motorcycling with his designs. Such as the Hurricane, Windjammer Fairings and he was really the father of Honda's Dressed GoldWing. Brilliant mind.
I wish he'd return to the Triumph family so he could make us a decent windscreen.

23 years ago built one year only. 1000cc, inline 4, 94HP, Shaft drive, primary selector for highway or sport gearing, 11.5 second 1/4 mile, dbl overhead cam, 0 vibration. I would say they are vintage now. Drove this for 45,000 miles with 0 mechanical breakdowns. Out the door retail in 83 was $3450

Ran into a guy on the PA Turnpike last Friday - riding a 77 Kawasaki 900 with a genuine Windjammer fairing. Bike and fairing were in great shape. He'd ridden from NJ and was making a giant loop around PA. Had it loaded to the gills! I hadn't seen a Windjammer in a long time.

1975 850 Norton Commando. Back when they were new I lusted after one of those almost as much as I did the Norton Girls they used in their ads. I saw one a week ago (black and gold, my favorite) and it's still beautiful. In case anyone is wondering the Windjammer fairings will not fit on our bikes. The fork is too wide.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

A 500 Velocette would be nice. I'd also like to get a '49 (50 or 51 would do) Triumph Trophy with a 605/2 carb upgrade. I've always had a liking for the later Ariel 4, the one with the 4 exhaust ports. It would be slicker than bugsnot to have a working Roper steamcycle or, lacking that, the '39 or '40 HD EL I saw once that had been converted to steam during the war to get around gas rationing. They used a really crude looking 2 cylinder engine from a very old Winton car. The builder ended up removing 1 piston because the torque made the bike totally unmanagable. Of course, if someone wanted to give me a Vincent twin, I wouldn't refuse...

Always wondered how you pronounce that correctly...is it VELL-o-set or vell-OS-e-tee (like velocity)?
vintage for my stable? man, so many...Norton 750 commando S Type, Brough-Superior SS100, of course the famous Vincent Black Shadow...not to mention several BSA's and Triumphs, maybe a Trident TSS and a Star Twin...sigh...dreams are good, right?

Not British, and probably not even vintage, but I'd love one of these. (Suzuki Katana 1100) Probably because I remember drooling over one in a showroom in about 1981, and it being way, way out of my pricerange

I always thought they were cool looking. But I don't remember the styling being much loved. 25 yrs old, that's vintage in Maryland!

As lovely as the day it was new. Picture freshly stolen from the Commando website. The only thing missing is the Norton girl.
