Just installed triumph floorboards and I have to say that was an easy job. Now the one thing I am not happy with is the chrome job on the brackets. The right hand bracket really is terrible. It seems the side exposed out looks tacky, especially the weld. The inside facing the bike is chromed well, but who see's it. I personally would like to let triumph know this. Could someone please direct me,I really would like to blow off some steam. I have used all triumph parts, and this really is the end. Please send a link if you can. Thanks Doug

Welcome to the Krappy Triumph Chrome Club!
Mine are the same way. I went through 3 different cam covers and finally just gave up and kept the best looking one, which is still substandard.

Hey Doug
I fancy the floor boards but I'm not shelling out what they're asking for 'em - even if the chrome was good, they're WAY overpriced.

The rocker gear lever and footboards over here total £300, that's around $525.
Around $55 more than you guys pay.

I was looking at asking the olds and the even-olders (grandparents) to shell out for a set for Xmas and birthday.... the perks of a dealer imminantly being within a 25 minute walk of my grandparents and 10 minutes of the olds (it opens this week some time).... but if they're that bad, do I want to know...?

The amount of "needless" (ok they're enjoyable) miles I've done this last year, I'm thinking they may be worth it for comfort. Not sure...
But don't think I'd buy the rocker lever. My feet would still be small enough to use the regular gear lever!!

Gina 03 America - Pretty stock - except the TBS wheel... 06 America - missing, presumed in bits. With it's TBS wheel... 09 America - It's very blue....

Adey,
Check out the Kyruyakn (sp?) switchblades. A lot of guys use them, and in hindsight, I would have preferred them over the boards that I have.

I like my switchblades. And Brent just started selling Rivco boards too.

You guys mean these?

I can't tell -- are those straight bolt-on pegs? If so, those would RULE -- and they're less expensive than the streetboogie ones.

[EDIT -- never mind, answered own question -- get the adapter, but otherwise yes, it's a bolt on.]

The Rivco floor boards seem to be on an angle. I would tend to beleive this would not let you get your feet "back" towards your body like the Triumph boards do??? I would only wnat the floor boards to be able to move my feet back sometimes.

You'd have to ask Brent...

The Rivco floorboards are on an angle. I believe 15%.

I had 'em on my Valk and loved 'em. Plan to put 'em on my TBA as well.

But then again, I'm long legged.

I never wanted to use the highway pegs too, since the Rivco floorboard's angle gave my legs a little stretch.
