I went to the UK round of the Moto GP yesterday - a last minute decision as other plans I had fell through. It was an enjoyable day, with spectacular riding from the racers.

It has to be said that there weren't many cruisers around I'd say something like 200 sports bikes for every cruiser, and all the other cruisers I saw were HDs.

I'm not an avid follower of bike racing, but I'll happily watch it on TV, and go to a race or two a year.

Here're a couple of very amateur photos I took:

What's the general feeling - are you interested in racing or not?

I like motorcycle racing very much. Unfortunately, I just haven't really had the time to really watch much on TV or follow it much.

I am happy to see the American Boys doing well in international racing.
Nicky and Collin have been doing well this year.

I also like MotoGP better than F1 because the rider is more of a factor in the finishing positions.

If you don't watch I encourage you to take a look at 4pm Sunday's on Speed (usually). This is better racing than you will see anywhere except maybe your local track.

I've started taping the MotoGP races on my DVR lately. The race 2 weeks ago at Assen was amazing. Great finish for that one with Colin Edwards and Nicky Hayden dueling in the last set of curves with Edwards crashing out and Hayden going offroad to take the win. The Doctor(Rossi) deserves mention for that race when he crashed in practice, breaking his wrist on his throttle hand and a bone in his ankle, but still finished 8th after starting at the back fo the grid.

This weekend's race at Donington sure was a lot more interesting than the US Grand Prix. FI is boring compared to MotoGP.

I went to the German Motorcycle Grand Prix back in 1988 when I was stationed over there, and Kevin Schwantz won on a cold and rainy day. Didn't follow it too much since then, because of a lack of coverage on TV, but I'm starting to get into it again.

I try to watch it when I can, Speed Channel is too much NASCAR. Back in '82 I was stationed in Shefford (great little town, 2 stoplights, 8 pubs) and I walked/hitched to Silverstone to see Roberts,Sheene,Uncini and the boys at the GP. Great time, and still my only GP.

Castle Donington - the racetrack is a few miles outside the village. I live about 15 miles away.

I do the same as SalMaglie, taping the races on my Landlord's DirecTV DVR. This last race was a good one, thankfully no wrecks like when Sete Gibernau wiped himself and Loris Capirossi out! Dang, I was sorry to see the Factory Ducati Team drop so far in the points standing. Good for Nicky Hayden that he's still leading the points, hopefully he'll have another good race at Laguna Seca.

Then look at the video Soren has uploaded, that is RACING to the EXTREME

I watch it if it is on, but not like some people "I cannot go out on my bike the racing and F1 is on" get a life!!!!
