The time is coming for a tyre change on the Speedmaster, so far the standard tyres have lasted 18,000km's and by the looks of them they are both ready to go.

What I am after is can you put an Avon vemon 180 on the back of the stock speedy rim without doing anything.

It will fit but you may want to review the Avon Venom thread. I just put Venoms on and will see how they work. The worn Metzelers that came off were good tires, I was just looking for something that handled better in the wet so I got Venoms, a week before this thread comes up!
