Has anyone installed the Rivco Handlebar Risers yet? If so, can you still use the stock cables and stuff?

Soren, I was looking at those myself on Brent's site. It is my understanding that they do allow you to use all stock cables which is mentioned in the description. I recently readjusted my stock bars a little and may wait (buying too much bike stuff lately). If anyone does get them, I'd love to hear a review as well.

Soren, Do you know if the Rivco Risers are a direct swap. I know that with some risers you have to drill the holes in the triple clamp to fit larger bolts. Mark

I am not 100% sure (since I havent bought them), but I assume that they are a direct swap part, otherwise Brent would have said so on his web site. Soren

I got a set for my speedmaster, the risers are good quality..but.. they didnt come with the bolts which are M10 fine pitch, and not easy to get hold of where i live. and when i did get them on the cables were tight over the triple clamp. i dont know if the wiring and cables are longer on the america but i will proberbly go back to the original ones for now..

The M10 fine thread is REALLY hard to find!! Same deal with the front-most fender support bolt.

I've fitted Highway Hawk pullback risers on my Speedmaster, which (I think) are higher than the Rivco's. I had to get studs made up to fit the thread size on the risers, as I didn't want to drill out the top yoke. All the cables are long enough, but the brake hoses need lengthening (a good excuse to change to stainless ) Hope this helps

I'm not sure but I'll look tonight, when I get home.
I don't think the bars are far enough back for it to make a difference which way they're routed.

I've checked, and the wiring shouldn't be a problem, but I don't think you'd gain anything by rerouting the control cables

I finally installed my Rivco risers last night. No problems at all. Well, that's not entirely true, when I removed the bars they tipped upside down and I had to bleed my master cylinder (doh!) but no problems whatsoever with cable lengths or anything. When turned lock to lock, the turn signals clear fine but the left riser bumps into the "chrome" tach housing a little bit when turned ALL the way - not bad though. Wow, what a difference they make too. I only took the bike on a short testride and the difference is amazing. I can actually do lock to lock u turns now since I can reach the bars at full turn without crawling over the tank and highway cruising is way more relaxed now. Turn in still has the same feel and I still feel totally in control bending into a hot corner. I am very impressed. I think they look good too. They don't look nearly as obvious as you think they would from the pictures and they flow with the lines of the bike well.

What is the actual reach and height "gain" with these risers? I have been thinking about these for a while. My short arm reach is the reason.
