They have stated that there would be tuned inserts.

I never heard of Spectre pipies but if you meant "SCEPTRE" pipes from Team Triumph... yes, there are two sizes available. They cut the decibles from 110 to 105 and 100.

The original sceptres had an opening in the baffle 2in in diameter. The new inserts have 1.5 and 1in openings. I have a set of the 1 inch baffles on their way to me as we speak. They should have shipped Monday, so I'll let you know what I think when I get them installed.

One more thing, I see that they reduce the volume, but how do they affect the tone of the pipes?

The inserts are $80. They supposedly have the same sceptre rumble, but are quieter. I've been out of town for the past few days (the south Jersey shore is great!), so I haven't even been home to see I have recieved my inserts yet. I'll let you know what I think once I get them on.
