Has anybody seen slip on drag pipes to fit the 1 3/4" head
pipes? I had these back in the day on my old Bonnie chopper.
Sometimes I would run the mufflers and sometimes I would run
the drag pipes. I don't want to be pulling out baffles and
fooling around. You know every now and then LOUD is cool
cause I ain't that old yet but peace and quiet is nice too.

I bought a set of drags from a guy on Ebay. He makes them and they are really sweet. I won't say how much as he wants to start making more for sale and I got them by winning the auction for lets say... WAY CHEAP!
They are double-walled (no blueing) and polished stainless steel. They even have a "shark's mouth" cut on the end. If you want send me a PM and I will give you his email addy.

Checked with them and they would love the advertisement. The guys name is Frank but his wife, Dolores handles all the correspondence so she is the one you will be talking to.
Their ebay user name is qcats2 and that is what they use for their email as well at either aol.com or yahoo.com
I am having issues with posting pics here but Dolores sent me a link to pictures of the pipes installed on Frank's Guzzi so at least you can see what they look like. I will keep working on posting some pics of them on the America.

In case anyone is interested I happened into the local
Never Rust exhaust shop to see if he had any 1 7/8" stainless
pipe and he says oh sure. Well my next question was what kind
of stainless, will it take a polish? The reply was oh it is
already polished. So for $32.00 I got two 2 foot sections
slash cut them and machined 2 aluminum baffles at work
to give me a 1 1/4 inch hole the same as my Epcos. I ran them
and they were great. I'm now going to run them across my
buffer to give them a chrome like high polish. So if this
guy has this kind of pipe I'm sure other places must have it
as well. I'm happy as a clam now but I wish the neighbor
would do something with that stupid car alarm that goes off whenever I ride by.

Phil, bonnyusa, was kind enough to send me a program for pics so been posting a few lately. Anyway thought some of you might be interested in seeing what the drag pipes look like installed on the bike. I don't know if any of you have contacted Frank about them but if you are looking for "straight thru, scare the women and children, kick azz drag pipes" as in "back in da days" you guys really should give him a shout. Stainless steel, double walled and wicked, and can't beat the price no matter how big a stick you use.

Yeah Dennis, been having great weather actually, makes me very suspicious, hehe. I've been commuting nearly everyday now for about three weeks. Actually though I ride every chance I get, no snow and at least 20 out and I'm on it.

As far as I know Frank makes these pipes in small runs and when they get enough made put them on Ebay. An email I had a few weeks back stated he was in the process of making more but was also making some for a bunch of Guzzi guys that had inquired about them. You may just want to email him direct. Just make sure he understands they are for an 1 3/4" header as his "standard" pipes fit 1.5's

Will this guy just do replacement headers?

BigTC, I installed a set of Emgo shortys. They look good, sound better and were cheap.

Have you got any pics of the emco's? Where did you get them and what was the cost, if you don't mind me asking.

I went to the website and saw the shortys. How did you mount them? It says they come with reducers, did you use the 1 3/4" reducers? Any pics you can post? The price is sweet too. I wonder if they sound better than my offroad shorts with the baffles removed? So many questions!

Al, I would have no idea buddy. You'd have to email him and check. Ummm, wasn't that you that polished the bee-jeebus out of your headers? Seem to remember that in the pics they looked really sweet. By the way, what did you use on them in the way of a polish? I finally ended up removing my AI and am rejetted so I wanna get just the little bit of discoloration I have on my headers off.

The emgo shortys have two different size ends. I think I used the 1 3/4" side. All you have to do is cut some notches with a band saw. The clamp will hold the pipe on if you do that. It comes with an extra support bracket that can be mounted to the frame.

I contacted Frank Quercia (maker of the drag pipes) about 3 weeks back, & his wfe (Dolores) said that he'd make me a set of pipes for $355.00, plus shipping. Sorry about the way cheap thing..... I feel kinda bad now but as I said I bought them when he had them as an auction item. I was the only one that bid on them.
I will say though that personally I still think at the price they are a pretty good deal. Also nice that you can specify some customization if ya want. Baffles,end cuts and length and so on.
