Put the Triumph lightbar on this evening and took the Blue Streak out for a spin. WOW what a difference. Even with the Silverstar bulb my headlight never looked like this. I'm glad I wired it to only come on when the high beam is on. Anyone know offhand what the designation is for the bulb? I'm thinking bright white there too. If you do much riding on dark roads this thing is a must! 
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

I believe the OEM bulbs in the Triumph Light Bar are 35W H3's. I found that in a post somewhere here and added that to my "America Info list". 35W H3's don't seem to be readily available. 55W H3's can be had in probably every automotive store. Those that have used the 55W bulbs have reported no problems. If you want to stick with the 35W bulbs, here's one source: Light Bar Replacement Bulbs Once adjusted, it's really amazing how the light bar lights up the road ahead. At night if I ride with them on for a while then shut them off, I feel like I'm riding by 'moonlight' only! Jay

Mine are always on. Not only do I appreciate the obvious benefits for night driving, but the REAL reason I got the lightbar was to be seen in the daytime.
Have yet to have anybody pull out in front of me. I think it makes all the difference, in a world where the average driver has been "trained" to look for two headlights when checking traffic before turning or pulling out onto the street.
The most often quoted excuse from the driver of four-wheelers involved in motorcycle accidents is "I never saw the motorcycle".
Help yourself - your are obviously now equipped to.
I think about them being on all the time when somebody pulls up from a side street, and allows me the right of way. I know they see me.
Only had one driving light bulb fail in 20k miles.

Couldn't agree with you more. When a driver sees a group of three lights it triggers their brain that something is different (rather than see half of a car's light) and they will more than likey take a second look and pay attention.

Why haul a helmet around on the sissy bar and not put one on?
Why not put your seatbelt on when it's in the car anyway?
But, it's a free country...sort of.

Keith, I also agree. Every time I ride, the lightbar is on. I think the more lights that are on and the more noise (pipes) you bike makes increases your chances of survivability whenever you ride.

First up I gotta agree with you on how well it lights things up at night - don't think anyone'd argue with you there. Like you I've got mine wired up to only come on with the high beam. HOWEVER I leave my highbeam on during the day. I wired it up this way so I could dip it at night since I don't want to be responsible to causing accidents by blinding people with it at night, and turning it off at that switch is a pain in the rear.

I think you will be more visible in the daylight with the stock bulbs. I have the Sylvania in my headlight and find that its less visible then the yellower bulbs in my lightbar.

I always ride with the lightbar on and my high beam on. If I annoy 'em, they see me.
Women and cats will do as they please. Men and dogs should just get used to that fact and relax

I ride with all three on, I ride with the brights on, if I remember. Was out riding the country roads during the day, with a bike about a quater mile behind with just one light on dim, cage on the side road waited for me, then pulled out in front of the bike behind me. Lucky the bike swerved to avoid, but at least I know the cage saw me!
