Has enyone viewed this extended version of the television series on DVD?

I see an extended version is out that entails all ten episodes plus extras.

Never seen any of them. It stars Ewan Mcgregor. Is it any good?

I have the 3-DVD extended version. An excellent expedition given the level of experience of the riders/actors.
In my eyes, the Swiss cameraman is the real hero of the series ;-)

Thanks. I think I will try and see if I can rent it and make myself a copy.

I forgot to mention in my previous post that the Swiss cameraman is on a 3rd bike, along with all his equipment.

I found this dvd collection quite entertaining. I thought that Ewan Mcgregor and Charlie Boorman came accross as intelligent, fun and humble all at the same time. They admittedly had a rough go of it but it was something they wanted to accomplish so they went for it. I don't know if anyone saw that monster garage episode where Jesse James and Kid Rock go for a ride into Mexico but I found them to be much less entertaining. No offense to the Jesse James and/or Kid Rock fans, just my opinion. And I have to agree with Bedouin about the Swiss camera man, I couldn't have done his job.

Reaper,

I did catch the Jesse James/Kid Rock Mexico trip show a few years back, and I was somewhat surprised to find it better than I had anticipated it would be. So if this one is better, I guess I'll have to catch it.

Cheers,
Dwight

I admit that I tend to not pay much attention to the warnings. Pretty much like those warning tags on pillows and stuff.

I figure since they are for my own personal use ..what the heck. I dont pay any attention to the warnings on CD either. Not the way my wife treats em. She buys em now and I make a few copies and store the orginal. If I let her keep the original she will destroy it through mishandling in short order.

I even make copies of DVD that I purchase and simply store the original.

Since I discovered DVD shrink and CloneDVD some years back I just go crazy.

yeah, it was funny watching Ewan McGregor get pissed off whenever the Swiss Cameraman would negotiate some obstacle without any hassle, when he or his buddy would struggle through it.

The funniest part was that the camera man spent a good portion on the trip on russian made single. He got along better on it than the other guys on the big adventure tourers.

I just finished looking at the DVD last Sunday (a rainy not real good ride day)so this was a good substitute. I found the series to be very good, quite entertaining. The trip through Mongolia was amazing considering what they had to go through.

clan,
I have heard, from someone else that is a lawbreaking copyright infringer, that DVD Decryptor and DVD shrink are a great combo of FREE software. For about $30 you can buy AnyDVD and that supposedly is great at even the newest Sony encryption, not that I would do anything like that.
