I found a nice wire loom for protecting wiring harnesses that's coated with a very bright metal coating that looks like chrome. I used the 1/4" ID wire loom for my Triumph Light Bar harness for protection and looks. Take a look at the picture: Light Bar cabling with wire loom I found that loom and others at: cableorganizer dot com The next size up might be useful for protecting the three wires on the right side of the motor (nuetral indicator, timing, & alternator output). I'm not crazy about that suff...it's too obvious where i want just the opposite. But that site you linked has a sleeve like i was talking about except for one big improvment.......It's slit up the side so you can put it over the wiring w/o having to disconnect/de-solder the wires ! I'm gonna look for some of that locally. Thanks.
actually I wish there were a way to hide it more than just cover it, but i don't see how. looking at a harley the other day they are much neater in this respect. But then it's the attention to details that is harley's one strong point, at least on thier mid to upper level models. a speedy with the same would IMO the the ultimate bike.

Any reason you don't want to go internal on the bars other than the cutting/soldering? Just curious cause you said it's not an option in the other thread...

Don't tell anyone I told you this...
Home Depot; 3/4" Stainless Steel water heater connection hose. Dremel off 1 END. Dremel a slice in ONLY THE STAINLESS STEEL on the other side. Twist off the S.S. Sleeve. Ahhh... you see?? Put 2 'Lil holes about an 1/2" from the ends. Slide S.S. hose over wires or whatever, put a small zip tie through and around the end of the S.S.. Pull it tight. Cut a piece or 2 of "the right size" heat shrink tube and shrink it over the zip tie and cover the cut in the S.S. then stretch the S.S. hose (it will get nice and small making a perfect fit) and zip tie the other end and heat shrink it the same way. Make sure you put the heat shrink tube on first, obviously.. If you want, you can cover wrap whatever your covering in colored electrical tape or in heat shrink tube (although, you really don't see through the S.S. all that much) Also, inside microphone cords is the same S.S. shield, just smaller. So fellow musicians, don't throw away those old cords. My guitar man told me about these.. Enjoy. it does have it's place.

In person, it looks much better. The picture I posted is one where the flash went off and it makes the split tubing look much brighter than the chrome. Actually it looks identical to the chrome and it makes the light bar look more finished. One thing about the Triumph light bar is the holes for the wires in the lamp housings are too low in my opinion. The wires (in tubing) seem much to close to the mount. I would have prefered the holes placed 1/4" higher. I suppose I could drill new holes and plug the originals. Rust would probably ensue immediately after that.

That looks really good the way you have used it on your bike. I was wondering how well it would hold up. Thanks for the info. Since I used it on my light bar wiring, it's probably out in the open more than what yours seems to be. But I have confidence now it'll do well. Jay
