I've noticed in some pictures in the galleries, that a few people have relocated their speedo from above the headlight to a nice little custom unit sitting in the dash on the tank in the place the tacho would normally go.

How tough a modification is this? I mean are there after market speedos that work with the existing Triumph speedo cable fittings?

Read Jethro's thread and follow his directions you should have no problems. I did mine without reading the whole thrad and made myself look like the idjut I am. All n all, not a tough mod. If you want to save a few bucks and don't feel the need for a digital spedo, check out this pic
Lotts less money and looks cool. I think he picked this up from Ebay for cheap.

Thanks for the links, and nice work LinkFarms I think I prefer the analogue unit better.

Did you need a converter for your speedo unit too?

Thanks and yes, I had to go from 5/8 std to 12mm metric. If you buy an analogue you won't need a converter if it has a 12mm thread receiver.
