I was reading through my service manual last night and noticed that the front forks appear to be the same on all the twins. The only difference is the Thruxton has a different fork cap and an extra washer that allows for pre-load adjustment. Anyone considered trying to swap the Thruxton caps to get a pre-load on their BA or Speedy?

Haven't considered this but I did install Progressive springs in the front. They made a big difference in the ride. Also cut down some PVC tubing to replace the front spacers. 2 inches of lowering was achieved with this mod. With the rear shock mod...(2 inch cutdown) she rides lower and a lot smoother.
